This picture was taken on May 1, 1997 at 9:00am
just a few days after a record snow storm that
dumped a reported 5 feet of snow at Barr Camp.
I got 2 feet in my driveway — what a workout!

*The trail is easily passable well before the last snow melts. However, the dates above represent
the first day you could ascend the peak via the Barr Trail without touching ANY snow!
